So long 2012, Helo 2013

It’s the first day of the year, January 1, 2013. Since last night, I’ve been sending and receiving New Year’s greetings. Open up my Facebook account and scrolled down the News Feed. Macam-macam ada. But to sum it all, everyone wish to have a great year ahead. Some of them did not forget to thank God above for the good 2012. Indeed, this is the time for reflections and resolution.

Mine, I really want to send this profound gratitude for God Allah s.w.t. for blessing me with good life, great people around, and valuable experiences which I know will help me grow holistically. Especially with last year 2012, which ended last night, I really feel fortunate because there’s a lot to be remembered of. And most of them are truly pleasant and wholesome for me, especially worth remembering.

Thesis

Internship

Recognition

Graduation

The board exam

My job

My passing of board exam

The oath-taking ceremony

…so many more…

Not to be forgotten of course, the people who came and go in my life during the wonderful year. Some had really came to stay, but I don’t know til when and I don’t wanna think about it. Some even said goodbye and left me, but I know we’ll see each other in Heaven one day. I pray for all of you.

Thank you Allah, Alhamdulillah for the marvelous year you gave to me. I hope 2013 will be as great as 2012. With my resolution listed, I end this.

Its 5:13 in the morning. Didie just called and it hits me. I told him the tentative date for our graduation day. He said that he might not be able to make it to the day.
I really thought it was okay. But it did hurt a bit. =(
I just hope that someday somehow we will be united as one wholesome family again.

Dear beloved Didie,
You may think that I don’t care
But I hope somehow you’ll know that I include you in every prayer
You may think that Ma was wrong
But I wish everything will be correct and fine just like a song
You may think that Paul went astray
But I know he’s on his right way
You may think Nening is still a kid
But I want you to realize that she could buy a bid
You may think that Rini and Rani has forget you
But you should know that they still remember every bit you

It’s month of March
Month of your batch
We missed you very much
With that, I dedicate this to you
Happy birthday Die and we love you

☻ahmmp...

Aloha 2011☺... this is my very first entry for this year- the year of Rabbit in the Chinese lunar calendar, though I know the Tiger year has not actually ended (Chinese New Year usually falls on February). And I wish myself for a better luck and good fortune for this year.

Hey now, I've got a mouthful to tell about.
Yeah, I've really accomplished some of my plans for the year-end vacation (X-mas vacation). I planned to give myself a great rest time last year.

Since I got a mouth full of cavities, one of my plan was also to go to the dentist, and I really went. I lost 3 bad teeth on that very day hahah! Sounds like it's a real big issue. But yeah it is because I just can't describe  my feeling when my damn tooth is aching. It feels like hell. It takes more than words to describe it.
Everything went just right during the dental moment except for the dentist. She acted sooo unprofessional. I feel like I want to sue her! She really didn't know me. The next time she did that to me again, I'll let her know who am I, and she'll be sorry! I'm HelenKhan.

The very plan I've ever had every now and then for my school vacation days- to keep and shut myself off from my textbooks, photocopies and notes during school day-offs. But hell, I can't. My conscience keeps on pushing me towards those them. I really can't afford to fail the last paper I should force myself to take- Literature. It's a way too tough stuff that i had this semester aside from the crazy Stat and uncool Anal. Chem. I thought I can take these easily, but this struck me lately. The course bored me to death and when I try to motivate myself to revise the notes, I suddenly find myself flown away. Imagining things that can possibly and impossibly happen to me. The course seemed to be barred in my brain and the scapegoat of my brain when I force myself to digest my notes is to 'fly'. 'Fly' far away and lead my mind astray from this heavy stuff. Perhaps I need to some Mono sodium Glutamate so that my appetite for this course will arise hehe:p Or maybe some food supplement for serious and fast digestion  of my brain hahah:D I really want to pass this course, perhaps with a good grade. But no promises, I will try my best. Aba, it's HelenKhan kaya 'to!☻

And yesterday was one of my enjoyable day in my life. It was Saturday, and was actually the birthday of my roommate- Lovely. She celebrated her debut! I was anxious of our plan to celebrate our joint birthdays at 11pm of the day. The plan was so exciting because we and our roommates will be celebrating two birthdays at a time. Things went out crazy but I was happy because the event was really cool!!

The day is very memorable for me because:

  • I was able to woke up early in the morning (my class starts 7am), so there's no time for me to be late:)
  • Dr. Lopina decided not to administer the last paper that we supposed to take-Literature101 ugh, yeheyy!
  • We learned that the condition of KhenKhen's father is better though still in comatose. Yet, we had collected some amount for her father.
  • My report was postponed. I did not get to report my assigned topic in Zoology. Reporting sucks!
  • We played charade during Dave's report activity and I lol too much. I'll get my revenge next meeting...they'll be sorry:] Trust me.

  • Ma'am Riza gave us a treat of my favorite bun-pan de mongo.
  • Against all odds, I was able to draw the human skeleton that is to be submitted on the period right after our class. (si Ma'am Riza talaga oh..)

  • Saliya gave me a token for my birthday, Cristine also gave me a cute homemade birthday greetings card. Thanks:D I appreciate, really!

  • Friends greeted me and wished for my birthday.
  • It's a happy 2-in-1 birthday celebration (11:59pm, Sat -12:01am, Sun).

Never ever to be forgotten:

....Happy birthday to you too my bff Nursyazana Juhan. I wish you health and wealth, and also all the love and lucks in this world for you. May Allah protect you and your family from any harm and Allah continue showering you the blessings from heaven... No promise, but someday I'll be there to spend our birthdays together again...happy 22nd birthday bff!!

Video of cars, ships wrecked by tsunami waves after Japan earthquake

Soooo terrible.........!

Tsunami Hits Japan

"A devastating tsunami triggered by the biggest earthquake on record in Japan looked set to kill at least 1,000 people along the northeastern coast on Friday after a wall of water swept away everything in its path."

Urban area is devastated

Cargo container is scattered

"The government warned there could be a small radiation leak from a nuclear reactor whose cooling system was knocked out by the quake. About 3,000 residents in the area some 240 km (150 miles) north of Tokyo had been moved out of harm's way."
"Underscoring grave concerns about the Fukushima plant, the U.S. air force delivered coolant to avert a rise in the temperature of its nuclear rods, but officials said a leak was still possible because pressure would have to be released."

The Fujishima Daini Nuclear Power Plant

"The quake, the most powerful since Japan started keeping records 140 years ago, sparked at least 80 fires in cities and towns along the coast."

Oil floating on water burns.

"Japan has prided itself on its speedy tsunami warning system, which has been upgraded several times since its inception in 1952, including after a 7.8 magnitude quake triggered a 30-meter high wave before a warning was given."

Whirlpool caused by Tsunami

"The unfolding disaster in the wake of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and 10-meter (33-feet) high tsunami prompted offers of search and rescue help from 45 countries."

I sympathized with Japan and quite worried about the alert level two in here. Yeah, Philippines is on alert level two now because of the possibilities of the Tsunami hitting this place also.
And I regret that i missed the Hale Comet that flew through our sky last night. They said it was very impressive. Some also said that it was an 'alamat'. Felt like I missed half of my life on it! Ugh!

What drives me crazy along the way

FDC was over... but what happened along the way opened up a lot of new experience for me. Here...

I'm one of the member of programs and communication committee... and 'accidentally' involved in the dissemination... got me full of exhausting rides.

1. We went to the Capitol for follow-ups... and hope to see the newly-elected Governor Rommel Jalosjos.

The 'on construction' Capitol
Inside the fabulous office of Provincial Governor
Another subway to the exact office
Me and Franco is a bit nervous but still courageous enough to take this silly picture.
And our most frustrating moment is when we're not able to go with Sir Ryan for the Guest Speaker's profile. Guess what? Sir Ryan was so lucky to got to talk face to face with the Governor. Awww....! I really regret that I missed it!!

2. Chased down low and up high and 'played' hide and seek just to catch with Ma'am Bebs for the program. And I unintentionally had myself watch Street Dance Competition... They're really beautiful! Go Sibugaynon!

Street dance during Araw ng Capitol

I got stuck in the middle of these people!
3. In the middle of the way...we actually successfully hold the Convocation Program. And I am happy that one of my proposed theme was accepted by Dr. Lopina.

Just got this one left in my phone.
4. And sempat jugak kami give time for the making of our banner. This is really sowt... Ma'am Radj actually ask us to buy Cactus print paper and we bought it for her. Tapi saybit jap carik printhouse for rush tarpauline printing. Thanks God ada jugak.

Franco with (me and Cris actually) inside Gizmo

Monte Bello Restaurant and Gizmo

Doing some editing for the final lay-out

Cris...excited to get the finished tarpaulin.
5. And for the rest of my life I've never done this freaking thing... This is my first time to run the solicitation letter to different companies. And I pity Sir Ryan for including himself in this job which it supposed to be done by us only.

Went to this 'cold' shop... The manager is soooo...... namau cakaplaaaa...
6. The Ecumenical Mass was cancelled. Totally cancelled. I can't quite remember the reason but I think the reason is that it seemed to be there's only ONE Priest in the whole Ipil, and hell he's not available on that time, even though the communication was sent ahead of time to him.

7. The Talent Night and Variety Show was gone fine... I missed all our girls' night out during the whole Sibugay week, and the Lolas managed to stick with each other for the show.

8. Thanks God Ma'am Radj got these 'armaments' for our committee. I really got had time using her notebook laptop because I'm not used to use it without mouse. And MS Word 2010 is really new to me. Nevertheless, things went just right.

Very small but terrible
The Program
9. The event went successful....

My life was so busy then... Full packed with enormous tasks, appointments, to-do's, etc etc... while there's still exam out there waiting for me to care for.

Accidentally worn this pair and I'm sick of it!

Went to Atty. Rambuyong's office
At the end of the day I slept tight
It's good to wake up from ma's bed
At the end of the day, somehow and in some way, I realized that I love the fast-paced life that I experienced along the way.

Nobody gets too much heaven

Painful goodbye is waving goodbye to someone worth more than thousands of golds and diamonds. 😢 They are a thousand sunshines. The bright...
